Friend-filled weekend...

...that is, filled with MOMMY's friends, not Lucy's (for a change!).

Jeff left on Friday morning for a weekend in Maine with his dad and brother. So, on Friday night, Laura (Lucy's Gomother) came over for some much-needed girl time. It was so much fun to catch up, have some wine, stay up late talking. We were supposed to go visit my mother-in-law (Lucy's Grammy) on Saturday, but she got sick and we couldn't go. So, I decided to call Laura and plan a visit to her new house. Lucy had a great time playing in the backyard and exploring the house...we can't wait to go back when the work is done and they are moved in! Also on Saturday, I got an e-mail from my college roommate, Fleur. She is Dutch and lives in Switzerland now. She told me she was in Boston for the weekend and asked if we could meet up on Sunday...I was so excited for this rare and unexpected opportunity. We hadn't seen each other for over 10 years! On Sunday morning, she came over and we had such a great time catching up. I wish we could have visited longer -- now I am really determined to plan a trip to visit her in Switzerland! It was a great weekend for me, despite Jeff being away...and I think Lucy had fun, too.

In her new dress...thanks, Lucy Huong Elise! She's also sporting yet another pair of new shoes. These have a buckle on them so that she can't take them off herself, which is essential for Lucy. No more shoes dropped on the street (followed by "uh-oh!).

Ok, so she has learned to "smile for the camera." The only problem is that the camera smile is, well, not really so gorgeous.

Fleur and Lucy...I think Lucy looks more like Fleur than she looks like me!

Lucy looks fabulous, as she always does, in her dress!!!!! I know I am a million years behind in getting back to you. I am terrible. Justin's plans have changed a million times over regarding our time in Boston. I think everything is final now, so I will email you tonight. The sad thing is, we are only going to get to be there for such a short while now.
