4th of July

We had a fairly low-key 4th this year. On Tuesday night (the 3rd) we went to a barbecue at Lucy's friend Max's house (hosted by Max's mommy & daddy, Ellenor and Mike). Lucy wore her Lil' Firecracker onesie and looked very cute. I snapped a few photos before we left for the party...she looked oh-so-glamorous wearing my sunglasses ("gah-kie"!).

Very glamorous

The look on her face says it all...she is VERY proud of herself.

"Please, no autographs."

She's cute without the glasses, but not as chic.

On the 4th, we went down to Hingham to see the parade. It was very hot and sunny and Lucy didn't tolerate it too well (neither did Mommy!). After the parade, we grilled some veggie dogs at Lucy's Grammy & Popi's house before heading back to Boston. We spent the rest of the day just chilling out at home. Jeff & I watched the fireworks on tv -- and we could see a bit of them from our living room window. Here we are, living in the city with what is I think the country's biggest 4th of July celebration, but we were perfectly happy at home and far away from the Esplanade crowds!

Ok, this photo has nothing to do with the 4th of July, but it's so cute. This is her latest antic...lying on her back in the bathtub. I think she finds it very relaxing!
