One a day

I have been a pretty bad blogger this summer...dreadful, I think. Sure, my postings have been pretty. Lovely photos, all of them. And therein lies the problem. You see, I started this little photography business that is, thankfully, starting to really take off. As in, I have FIVE shoots this weekend. But the work that this entails, plus my "real" job as a lawyer, plus my really real job as a mom has left me little time to blog. And when I do blog, it has been tempered by my pursuit of photo perfection. I have tended to post a few pretty pictures but not much else. So, for the following month, I am going to try to be a better blogger. To write about what's going on around here rather than just posting pretty photos. I am going to commit myself to one post a day, with no more than one photo from the day. I guarantee that in ten years, this may be my favorite month to look back on. And if you don't see a post from me on a particular day, feel free to send me an electronic kick in the pants, ok?

i think this is a good 'habit' - after a month, you might find you want to keep it up... you will want to look back on it in 10 years and the more posts (and pictures) the better! do you print your blog into a book? i did megan's first year and love having the photos and text- makes blogging more meaningful to see it in print and to have as a keepsake. i need to get year 2 done soon!

I don't know how you have time for everything! I do enjoy your pretty pictures, but love the posts more....here's to a blog-worthy month :)

I like your goal...very ambitious! I can't wait to see the girls every day. I say to heck with trying to make the pictures perfect, we all know that you create beautiful images, but to do that with every shot is just not how it works. The photographer I have used for many years posts pictures of her kids on Facebook all of the time, and most of the time you would never know she was a professional..she is just capturing daily life.
Good Luck! I don't know how you do it all!

great idea. I think I suffer from some of the same probs.
I'm way behind on even getting photos of June and such on to flickr for family and friends, though, and incidentally, way behind on sleep. I think I'll try your 1 post a day idea when things smooth over in a few months! good luck to you!
