Chippy

Lucy chipped a tooth today...something I have feared might happen for a while (mother's intuition?). I got a call from daycare that she had tripped while out on a walk and that the tooth chipped in the fall. Her face didn't hit the pavement or anything terrible like that...more that her teeth banged together and so one of them chipped. That is good news because I'd hate to think of her banging her mouth on the ground. Also, she didn't sustain any other injuries and has been in fine spirits. I think the tooth was soft to begin with because it is the one that has always a little "deformity" in it. Anyway we are off to the dentist tomorrow for an x-ray. I just hope there is no root damage. I suppose we can live with a chipped tooth until she gets a new one...when, at age 6? Poor little chippy...she still has the world's prettiest smile to me :)

I chipped one of my baby teeth too when I was little. It gave me some character - as it does Lucy.
