Back to "school"
Lucy had her first day at her new day care today. We knew it might be a tough transition because she has been out of day care all summer, being lovingly watched by her Nonnie and Nonno while I was at work. Today she only went for a few hours and although she was crying when we left, I got a great report when I picked her up. Apparently, she was very interested in playing with the trucks and the airplane toys (and she didn't want to share the airplane with anyone!). I picked her up at the playground, and I actually arrived there a few minutes before the day care group did so I got to see her walk into the park holding on to the little rope thing that they use for the children. It was so cute and I was amazed that she held on and walked so nicely with the group! She goes for a few more hours tomorrow and builds up to spending all day on Friday. Then, next week she will be on her regular schedule of attending on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I hope she keeps doing well!

Nonnie may be very proud of her big girl but she sure does miss her. We had a wonderful summer and enjoyed each and every minute of our time together.
You are not a "dorky" mommy Sara. You are a loving, caring and talented mommy and Lucy is a very lucky little girl.
Mom
I agree with Nonnie on this one - you are not a dorky mom. I LOVE and I do mean LOVE labels - for everything. She looked so cute for school. I know I owe you an email and I am working on it. Hope you are doing well!!
