We had a really fantastic Memorial Day Weekend. The weather was perfect...it seems like it is finally getting warmer to stay. On Saturday morning we headed down to the Cape for a few days. We started out by going to a great lunch at a place across the street from the beach. About halfway through, Lucy noticed the beach and was determined to get there as quickly as possible. She absolutely loves it there, which makes me SO happy because I was always such a beach baby (still am!). I was commenting to Jeff yesterday on how "fun" is now defined for me as seeing my children have fun. And Lucy had so much "funnnnn!" (as she says it). She ran in and out of the water even though it was freezing cold and built a castle out of seaweed. As my mom wisely said, we should make sure that Lucy does not fear seaweed because there is so much of it in Cape waters...so we're trying to have her think of it as a fun building material for her castles. It was also a momentous occassion in that it was Phoebe's first trip to the beach! She wasn't really into the action much, but when the weather gets warmer and we can dip her toes in the water I think she may like it just as much as her big sister does. We took a ton of beach photos...here are some of my favorites:

FUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!
If you think you're enjoying it, just think of your father and I. We are having the MOST fun we've ever had thanks to those babies. We're so happy that Lucy loves the Cape and the beach as you did Sara.
Keep the fun times rolling and always keep sand between their toes.

Looks like lots of fun! I love Lucy's outfit, too!
Cute kids! You guys are blessed. Hugh is getting curious about the impending baby. Hope all is well with you guys...
